Surabaya,<\/strong> tintajatim.com <\/em>\u2013 Perubahan iklim menjadi ancaman yang serius bagi seluruh negara di dunia, termasuk di Indonesia. Berbagai program dicanangkan oleh pemerintah untuk turut berpartisipasi dalam menangani perubahan iklim.<\/p>\n

Bertepatan dengan Peringatan Bulan K3 Nasional Tahun 2025, PLN UID Jawa Timur, PLN Unit Pelaksana se-Metropolis, termasuk UP2D Jawa Timur, berkerja sama dengan Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Kota Surabaya mengadakan program penghijauan dengan tema \u201cPlant More Trees<\/em><\/strong>\u201d sebagai salah satu wujud kepedulian PLN terhadap program pemerintah serta sebagai salah satu bentuk dukungan terhadap kegiatan ESG (Environment, Social and Governance<\/em>).<\/p>\n

Dalam Sambutannya, Kepala Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Kota Surabaya, Drs. Dedik Irianto, MM beserta Kepala Bidang Pengendalian Pencemaran Dan Pengelolaan Keanekaragaman Hayati, Myrna Augusta Aditya Dewi, menyampaikan apresiasi kepada PLN yang telah menyelenggarakan program penghijauan yang dinilai mampu memperbaiki kualitas udara di Kota Surabaya.<\/p>\n

Sebanyak 100 pohon Cemara Udang (Casuarina equisetifolia<\/em>) ditanam di sempadan jalan Margomulyo, Kota Surabaya, pada tanggal 5 Februari 2025. Tanaman yang memiliki daun dengan ujung lancip seperti jarum dan memiliki batang yang besar serta keras dipilih karena ketahanannya terhadap suhu yang tinggi dan angin kencang.<\/p>\n

Assistant Manager Keuangan dan Umum, Harry Dewantoro, mewakili Manager UP2D Jawa Timur menyampaikan, \u201cPeningkatan suhu, perubahan pola musim dan juga cuaca ekstrim akhir-akhir ini merupakan salah satu bentuk perubahan iklim yang terjadi di seluruh dunia.
